Dr. Russell Muir
Associate Director of Physical Activity and Pain Management

Dr. Muir is an assistant professor in the MS in Athletic Training Program at the University of La Verne.  Previously, Dr. Muir worked for Rio Hondo College where he served as the Head Athletic Trainer and Coordinator of the AS in Sports Medicine Program, as well as adjunct professor.  Dr. Muir received his Doctorate of Education from CSU Fullerton; his MS from University of Nevada-Las Vegas; and his BS in Kinesiology from CSU Long Beach.  Dr. Muir has further experience and knowledge in pain management and its relation to physical activity.  Dr. Muir brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and clinical expertise to our panel of experts.
